South Australian man Robin Michael, 63, was found dead in his Risdon Prison cell on June 29.
Mr Michael had been charged with the murder of his wife at Mt Roland.
A week earlier, Wynyard man Troy Colin Monson, 42, was found dead in the back of a prison van travelling from Launceston to Hobart.
Both inmates are believed to have taken their own lives.
