Ms Corbould was the keynote speaker at the Launceston RAAF Association reunion, which was attended by about 70 RAAF and ex-RAAF representatives.
It is one of the first steps in rebuilding the association's presence in the community, according to president Ken McNeill.
"It's the centenary of Anzac, this is the time that people in the services are thinking about it," Mr McNeill said.
"The Anzac Day march was incredible, we had people turning up we hadn't seen for many years.
"Our membership has already gone up in the past two months."
He said their association did have about 140 members but has since dropped to about 40.
Mr McNeill said the group was now focusing on reaching out to others in the community.
"You try and do your best to put it in front of the public," he said.
The day began about 1.30pm and included a monster raffle as part of its fundraising bid.
