Joe Boyce and Sam Rundle return from the effects of concussion, which kept them out of the Glenorchy game last week, and Michael Musicka comes back from a four-week suspension.
‘‘This is our second road trip to Hobart and obviously going a bit further this time and it will be our club’s first look at the Twin Ovals and a new experience,’’ Launceston coach Scott Stephens said.
‘‘We will be trying to get another win on the road the week before the bye, trying to get a bit more momentum going into the break, and it’s important for us to beat the sides that we are competing against in the lower part of the ladder.’’
The Blues will be without captain Brennan Savage, who will miss with a slight hamstring injury.
NORTH LAUNCESTON omitted Ben Elmer but named Marcus Haley for a return from the Mariners as they travel to play Devonport at Devonport Oval.
The Northern Bombers will be looking to notch up another win on the road following last week’s come-from-behind win over Clarence at Bellerive Oval, but will be wary of a Magpies side on the rebound from its defeat to the Western Storm.
‘‘The last time we played there we lost so we’ve spoken about that this week and having a bit of redemption to make up for that loss last year, which was disappointing,’’ North coach Zane Littlejohn said.
‘‘We expect the pressure to be just as good as Clarence showed last week with Devonport wanting to bounce back after last week’s result so it will be really important to be strong and clean over the footy.’’
Alex Lee and Brad Cox-Goodyer played their first senior games last week and Andrew Cox-Goodyer made a successful return from an ankle injury, adding strength to the Bombers line-up.
Forward Zach Burt is yet to make his return as the club takes a cautious approach to his comeback from a quad injury with him likely to play after the split round.
Devonport lost co-captain Nick Pearce to injury after he hurt his shoulder AC joint last week, which is likely to sideline him for the next six weeks if not the rest of the season, and recalled Alex Dilger.
WESTERN STORM travel to North Hobart Oval to play Hobart City looking to continue their winning momentum from last week.
The Storm regained Alex Russell and Claye Young but lost Tom Reinmuth to a knee injury and Mitch Hodgetts to a groin strain.
‘‘We played them down there about five weeks ago and it was very close but we didn’t make the most of our opportunities and Julian Debosz got a hold of us so we will try to nullify his influence this time,’’ Storm coach Mitch Hills said.
Hobart City had some key inclusions, naming Ryan Matthews, Gareth Delaney and Dwayne Bosen.
