Volunteering Services Australia, an initiative of Volunteering Gold Coast, has set up shop in Frankland Street.
The organisation’s chief executive Richard Patterson described its opening as an opportunity for the region.
He said Volunteering Services Australia provided benefits for volunteer organisations, including recruitment and referrals, advice and promotions of volunteer positions through its national database and the running of networking meeting and educational seminars.
Launceston Volunteers for Community president Christine Fordham said the organisation looked forward to benefiting from Volunteering Services Australia’s expertise and resources.
