Mrs Handley has seen the satellite town change and develop during the past three decades and last week said she was proud to have achieved her milestone.
She puts her impressive track record down to a few factors.
"It's hard work and trying my best to look after my clients' needs," Mrs Handley said.
"[but it's also] great staff, I have really good team members that looked after their clients and several that returned to work after children and other jobs.
"They have all been vital to my longevity and I thank them all."
She said part of what made her business career worthwhile was the people who continued to use her services.
"I have lovely clients that have supported me right from the start," Mrs Handley said.
"Many have been coming for 30, 25 and 20 years, and I'm so appreciative of their support - we have services for everybody and our clients range over the whole family spectrum; from the young to the elderly."
She said many hairstyles and fashions had come and gone throughout the years, many of which returned as the "new trend".
Technology has also been a major change for her business, with the development of Facebook, EFTPOS and computer technology.
"When I started you did all of your book work with a pen and paper," Mrs Handley said.
"I think I'm lucky to have started up when I did, with the amount of rules and regulations you have to meet to start in business these days."
She said the business would celebrate its 30th birthday on July 13, with an invitation to clients to enjoy drinks and nibbles with added prizes and goodies.
