The two clubs will play their annual battle for the Soleways Esk Cup, which Evandale holds from last year's inaugural encounter.
"Meander Valley came about from an amalgamation of the former Hagley and Westbury footy clubs and those clubs and Evandale all played together in the Esk Association," Meander club president and player Alex Wadley said.
"We thought we would keep that history alive by playing for the cup, which we played for for the first time last year at their home ground and now the corresponding game is this year at our home ground.
"It should be a good game - Evandale have had a strong season and are second on the ladder, but we have come into some form, winning two on the trot, and we have some players coming back in."
Wadley said the two country clubs tried to support each other and the Suns would be holding a function after the game which he hoped former supporters of Hagley and Westbury would attend.
Evandale coach James Conroy said his side was looking forward to the clash and wanted to continue improving not only on the scoreboard, but in the way they played the game.
"I've no doubt that Meander will put up a good fight and should have a good team this week," he said.
"All the clubs were strong in the old Esk competition and this game renews some of their old rivalries and hopefully will help build our own rivalry in the years to come."
