Police have renewed their search for missing Launceston man Ben Plowright.
A police helicopter has been running reconnaissance mission over the Perth area on Thursday morning, scanning open paddocks and thick brush-locations that couldn't be accessed by foot during Sunday's search.
Police divers will also search the South Esk River for any sign of the 20-year-old.
Police on dirt bikes will begin searching the sides of Midland Highway between Breadalbane and Launceston to see if Ben was hit by a vehicle.
The search will also take in parts of the old highway along Hobart Road.
Earlier today police divers took to the South Esk River in a bid to find a trace of the missing 20-year-old.
Officers are also door knocking residents in the Devon Hills area.

A Launceston man missing for more than a week is likely to still be in the area where he disappeared, police say.
Ben Wara Plowright, 20, hasn't been seen since Saturday May 30 when he left a party at Arthur Street, Perth, about 9pm.
Police believe Mr Plowright, who had been drinking alcohol, set out on foot to Launceston from Perth.
The only trace of the Hotel New York bartender since then was the use of his mobile phone in the hours following.
Police say there has been no access of his bank accounts and there is no sign of foul play.
Police kayakers failed to find any sign of Mr Plowright as they traversed the South Esk River on Monday.
Drones have also been used in the search operation, which included some 30 people on foot on Sunday in the Perth area.
Deloraine Inspector Scott Flude said he believed Mr Plowright was still in close proximity to the Perth region.
He asked landowners to check their properties for the missing man.
Mr Plowright is described as 175cm tall, slim with brown hair. He has olive skin and is of Thai descent. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey hooded jumper, bright coloured converse shoes and wears glasses regularly.
Anybody with information should call police on 131 444 or 6777 3945

A TASMANIA Police kayak search found no trace of a missing Launceston man on Monday, while the man’s family and friends continue to worry about him.
Ben Wara Plowright, 20, was last seen leaving a party in Arthur Street, Perth, in the Northern Midlands on Saturday, May 30 about 9pm.
Launceston friend and workmate Solomon Scott said on Monday he just wanted Mr Plowright to come home.
‘‘Everyone is just trying their hardest,’’ he said.
‘‘We have followed up every potential lead that we have.’’
Mr Scott first posted about his friend’s disappearance on Wednesday via Facebook and has since posted many times about his concerns.
He said he received a call about his friend leaving the party and that was the last he heard.
Mr Scott said it was ‘‘extremely unusual’’ for Mr Plowright to have gone for so long without contacting anyone.
‘‘I’m just worried about him,’’ he said.
North-East Inspector Darren Hopkins said a police kayak search of the South Esk River on Monday found no clues about Mr Plowright’s whereabouts.
The officer in charge of search and rescue appealed to the public for new information to help guide the police search, because at this stage it was ‘‘a rest of the world scenario’’ with police having no specific details about Mr Plowright’s location.
Senior Constable Ross McIvor and Constable Dan Smith kayaked about six kilometres along the South Esk River downstream on Monday.
The kayakers covered difficult areas between Evandale and Perth which officers were unable to access on foot at the weekend.
Mr Plowright is about 175 centimetres tall, slim with brown hair.
He has olive skin and is of Thai descent.
Mr Plowright was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey hooded jumper, brightly coloured Converse shoes and glasses.
- Police urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Launceston police on 131 444.
UPDATE Monday 12.30pm: TASMANIA Police kayakers launched a search on Monday for missing Launceston man Ben Plowright.
On Monday morning, police kayakers Senior Constable Ross McIvor and Constable Dan Smith started a South Esk River search under the Evandale Bridge.
They are travelling downstream and aim to cover about six kilometres.
The officers expect to end their search near Eskleigh at Perth.
North-East Inspector Darren Hopkins said Monday's search would cover areas that could not be accessed on foot at the weekend.
"Specifically around the South Esk River in the Perth area and a number of hard to reach areas which we hope to access by boat," he said.
"It's not a huge area but it's just difficult to get to.
"So I expect it would take three to four hours."
Inspector Hopkins, officer in charge of search and rescue, appealed to the public for any information to help guide police, because at this stage they were looking at "a rest of the world scenario", meaning they had no specific information about his current location.
Have you seen Ben Plowright? Call police on 131 444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
EARLIER: LAUNCESTON'S Plowright family are desperate for any snippet of information that may help them locate their son Ben.
The family spent Sunday searching areas of northern Perth for any trace of the 20-year-old, who has not been seen or heard from since Saturday May 30.
Wearing a grey hoodie and jeans, Ben Plowright left a party in Arthur Street, Perth, at about 9pm.
His family believes Ben left the party to get to his photography shift at Hotel New York, but he never made it.
Ben's father Steve said it was unusual for Ben not to be in contact with his family.
``A person can't vanish, but he seems to have vanished,'' he said.
``The police have said - they've got a special name for it - but it's a search where they don't actually know where we're searching. It's very difficult, we think he's in the Perth area, somewhere, but we don't know.''
Sunday's search involved 30 members of the SES, Police, and friends and family.
Inspector Darren Hopkins said the search had covered the railway lines, the roadways from Perth to Western Junction, the river's edge, and the Midlands Highway.
``We have two kayakers going in (on Monday) at about 10am, and they'll be searching the river down through Perth Bridge and beyond, and just checking in amongst some of the trees where we couldn't get searchers (on Sunday),'' he said.
``Until (Sunday) it has all been electronic searching, checking to see if he has been on any boats, planes, trains, any bank records that might have been used, any phone messages.
``This was the next stage up in relation to physically searching for him in the Perth area, and nothing found so far unfortunately.''
Ben is described as of Thai descent, 175cm tall, slim build, with olive skin.
The Plowrights said they do not believe Ben had access to a vehicle on the night he disappeared.
They have requested that anyone with any information contact police, even if the information seems insignificant.
``At this point there has been almost nothing, no sighting of him at all from 9pm (Saturday) onwards. Not one sighting. Somebody must have seen him at that time, somewhere, we hope,'' Mr Plowright said.
``Even if they just saw him, or walked past him, or drove past him, or saw something just let the police know, because it might mean we can narrow the search down.
``At the moment the search is very wide.''
Inspector Hopkins said Police would reassess the search effort on Monday.
His family has requested that anyone with information contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
