Boxing Australia has announced a team of six consisting of four Queenslanders, one from NSW and Seabourne in the 54-kilogram division.
The selection follows the Launceston Boxing Academy fighter's success at the Australian championships in Queensland where he won the under-15 title alongside fellow Tasmanian victors Tyler Blizzard (youth male 49kg), of Launceston, Westbury's Luke Blackwell (elite male 60kg) and Clarence's Jacques Barwick (under-15 male 50kg).
Boxing Australia head coach Kevin Smith praised the quality of the country's junior divisions.
"The team heading to Russia is a talented group and we are looking forward to seeing them perform well," he said.
‘We are also inviting 20 junior male boxers into the Australian Institute of Sport for a challenging and educational weekend to select an additional team to travel to Thailand for two weeks to gain international experience against a variety of training partners.
"These international training camps will provide greater development from a holistic perspective which will hopefully enrich our talent pool."
The AIBA junior world championships will take place from September 2-13.
Seabourne's brother Jack, who fights in South Australia, was also a gold medallist at the national championships. The brothers are coached by their father Alan.
