The historic town's Tasmanian Wool Centre has ramped up its activity since April, holding a series of exhibitions within its superfine walls.
Tasmanian Wool Centre manager Debra Cadogan-Cowper said the facility swung into full motion in celebration of last week's Australian Wool Week event.
Mrs Cadogan-Cowper said the week was held each year by Australian Wool Innovation and the global Campaign for Wool organisations.
She last week said the centre was fortunate to gain an showcase by Jan Dineen in their wool exhibition area.
"It is a sculptural installation named The Sixth Element, a reference to the five Chinese elements - earth, wind, fire, water, metal," Mrs Cadogan-Cowper said.
"(It was) quite appropriate as it is currently the Chinese Year of the Sheep.
"The sculpture consists of a cube of colourful knitted woollen pieces that is completely self-supporting and representative of the strength of the wool fibre."
She said the exhibition would run for a few months at the centre.
It is the second exhibition to be held at the centre in recent months, following the Anzac Day launch of Gallipoli - A Local Perspective.
Mrs Cadogan-Cowper said the feature centered on the men whose names appeared on the Ross War Memorial and fought at Gallipoli.
"It includes pictures of the men and the war service they had in this theatre of war," she said.
"There will be an expanded exhibition in November to include all the men listed on the memorial who fought during WWI."
