The annual event sees dogs and their owners across Australia register for a group walk to raise vital funds and awareness about the RSPCA's work.
In Tasmania, the walk happens in Hobart, Launceston, St Helens, Stanley, Ulverstone and Huonville.
The St Helens walk will start at 10am on Sunday, May 17.
Participants will meet at Lions Park, on the corner of the Tasman Highway and the St Helens-Point Road turn-off.
RSPCA Tasmania general manager Peter West said the Million Paws Walk was the largest annual fundraiser for the organisation.
"Everyone knows the RSPCA plays a crucial role in the community and this is a tangible way to support the organisation," he said.
"It brings hundreds of people and their dogs together, and there's a real power in that because they're not alone."
Mr West said St Helens had become a leader in RSPCA awareness on the East Coast.
"The St Helens mob had so much fun last year. The volunteers . . . are fantastic. We expect that again in St Helens. They lead the way on the East Coast.
"We are expecting about 3500 participants across all of Tasmania."
Registration will occur in St Helens on the day from 10am, with the walk to start at 11am.
The walk distance is three kilometres.
Parking is available at parkside and the event will also include displays, competitions, a barbecue, raffles and prizes.
