The inaugural Launny Record Fair attracted masses of people through the doors of the Launceston club to buy, swap and sell records, comic books, clothing and cassettes.
Event organiser Andy Collings said the event was the first of its kind in the state for about 20 years.
He said the ongoing success of vinyl was apparent in the number of people attending the fair.
He said anniversaries of classic albums last year – Nirvana In Utero, Oasis Definitely Maybe and Beastie Boys Ill Communication included – had maintained interest.
‘‘Everyone’s been walking away with records,’’ he said.
‘‘Secondhand sales are huge and the value is going up and up.’’
