Fay Ralph, of Bridport, said that the families and their friends had an enjoyable day catching up with one another.
``The Ralph connection was and early convict, on the first fleet in 1788, on a ship called the Scarborough,'' she said.
``Scottsdale's well known Sellers family had a number of members who played football and other sports and the next generation of Sellers had four members playing for North Launceston.
``The Johnstone connection was with Waverley Woollen Mills.''
