Whether succeeding academically, on the sporting field or through their own personal passions, grade 6 pupils Erin Cooper and Brandon Leary and grade 4 pupil Niall Swain have earned the accolades of principal Alison Brooks.
Erin was counted among the state's top 1 per cent for her 2014 NAPLAN testing and was announced top in the school for the statewide literacy and numeracy monitoring program.
Brandon was this year selected to represent the state in a national AFL competition - the only person to do so in the Tamar region - and Niall swept the competition at the recent Lego Brixhibition with his rendering of the Exeter Sawmill.
Niall said it had been a surprise when he topped the school's Lego-building competition but a real shock to take the trophy at the all-school bout.
He said he was inspired to recreate the local icon after walking through the mill and learning how it worked.
"I feel excited and happy," he said.
Brandon admitted he felt a "bit nervous" to head to Geelong for his June competition but listed football as a passion.
Erin said she was also surprised but pleased of her achievements.
Mrs Brooks said the pupils were excellent examples of what could be achieved by regional children.
"We're always celebrating student achievement and it's about celebrating their efforts," Mrs Brooks said.
"It's not about natural ability but those kids who put in extra effort to achieve things, who have goals and make that extra effort to achieve what they like."
