Tasmanian Land Conservancy lead a group of more than 90 people through the forest reserve on Sunday.
The group explored the ecosystem and undercovered its unique plant and animal life, including fungi and the Simpson’s stag beetle.
TLC chief executive Jane Hutchinson said the Blue Tier has stood for 65 million years, but few known of the region’s beauty.
‘‘It’s a very important area and long-term conservation is crucial,’’ she said.
‘‘It’s diverse and very mountainous, with great views of the coast.’’
The group left trekked through the reserve in a series of guided tours, while children were also given the opportunity to learn about the area in a nature workshop.
Ms Hutchinson said the tour was the second TLC event to sell out.
‘‘This shows that people really are interested in our natural area.’’
