Attendees at the town's dawn service gave reports of between 1000 and 2000 people crowding around the Deloraine cenotaph.
Western Tiers MLC Greg Hall was the dawn service's guest speaker.
Mr Hall said he was impressed by the turnout at both services for this year and that he had made a special effort to be present for the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.
Performances from the Deloraine Big Band, impressive trumpeting from Stuart Harvey and Cameron Scott and a song from Georgina and Tom Harvey were provided at the town's 11am service.
The Deloraine RSL sub-branch president, Vietnam veteran and Distinguished Conduct Medal winner Peter Ashton, was the guest speaker for the later event.
Mr Ashton used his address to call for peace and non-violent conflict resolution.
He ended the service with "a phrase familiar to many Vietnam veterans - 'we've got to get out of this place'."
The large marching group made its way back up the main street, led by the Deloraine Big Band, to the Deloraine Ex-Servicemen's Club for a special breakfast event.
