He is always in the George Town parade and you'll usually find him after the 11am service in the RSL club with a wine.
This year was no different.
The 95-year-old led the George Town Anzac Day parade perched up in an open-top Land Rover.
Waving at the crowds, he smiled with honour, but behind his eyes hold many stories from the past.
Mr Geale served in the Kokoda campaign in the infantry.
He is the last surviving Tasmanian from the 39th Battalion and was sent to the Kokoda Track in June 1942.
When asked about the war he says: "I never talk about it".
The only person he talks about it with is his great-nephew Danny Johnson, of George Town, who is also his carer.
Mr Johnson said his great-uncle lost a lot of mates during the Kokoda campaign, which is why he always paid his respects on Anzac Day.
"They say only the good die young," Mr Geale said after the 11am service.
