Last year’s TSL runners-up find themselves 0-3 after the first three rounds with a big Anzac Day clash against arch enemy North Launceston facing them on Saturday night under lights at Aurora Stadium.
‘‘We’ve been in a position to win every game and we just have to keep believing in our structures because we know they work but haven’t put four quarters of it together yet,’’ Blackberry said.
‘‘I think we’ve adapted well to a new game plan and know it is going to work as it did for three quarters against Burnie but we have not done it for four quarters to be effective.’’
Blackberry rated the Anzac Day match against North as the club’s biggest game outside of a grand final and said he needed to step up his own form and lead from the front this week.
‘‘It is a privilege to be able to play on that day that recognises what our soldiers have done for us who fought for our country and a massive honour,’’ he said.
He did not think that last year’s grand final result would come up too much in the pre-game discussions saying that was in the past.
‘‘We always want to beat North and we know the challenge is ahead of us,’’ he said.
‘‘They’ve changed their team with a few outs and it will be two different teams going at it.
‘‘It is always a good feeling to knock off your cross-town rivals and we couldn’t get it done against Lonnie but have a chance now against North.’’
City Park Radio (103.7 FM) will be broadcasting the game from 4.55pm on Saturday.
