Love Army
IF EVER a person seems born to front a rock'n'roll band, it's Dallas Frasca.
The Wangaratta-raised rocker has the polished brass pipes and natural swagger, and she's learnt how to work a song.
She can growl, howl and sing as sweetly as she likes on her third album, which shows a band in control, led by guitar maestro Jeff Curran, whose steady rhythms and controlled leads serve the singer and the song in a way that reminds of Mark McEntee's sterling work with Chrissy Amphlett.
The trio is completed by drummer Josh Eales, who is subtle and superb.
The title track is a treat, melding Floyd and Zeppelin in a 10-minute epic.
