Messages sent from the mobile phone of Marco Daniel Rusterholz in the days before the double murder also contained "let's f--- that Hallam up", "ha ha glorious hell" and "I can't wait until the dragon is gone", jurors in Launceston were told.
Constable Giuliano Ercole, of the Tasmania Police Northern Crime Management Unit, gave evidence for the Crown about documents he had prepared based on telecommunications records.
Prosecutor John Ransom read text messages from August 15, 2012, hours before the stabbed, burnt remains of Angela Maree Hallam, 31, and boyfriend Joshua Eric Newman, 21, were found in a Ravenswood unit fire about 11pm.
"Was hoping to have a real heart to heart," Mr Ransom said a text message at 8.23pm from Mr Rusterholz's phone to Ms Hallam's read.
He said that a text at 8.44pm from Ms Hallam's phone to the accused's number said, "sorry call you in a minute on the phone" and the response read, "clearly you still have Josh there so I won't bother you".
Mr Ransom said that Ms Hallam's reply was, "Clearly you are assuming things again I have been on the phone sorting out my visits with my Josh my boy Josh".
"LOL my mistake," was the reply from Mr Rusterholz's phone the prosecutor said.
Constable Ercole confirmed that the last text message sent from Ms Hallam's phone was at 9.30pm that night.
The Crown's case ended on Tuesday and the defence did not give or adduce evidence.
Closing addresses will start on Thursday and Justice Robert Pearce expects to sum up the case on Monday.
The trial is in its sixth week.
