Launceston’s undead will be out in full force for this year’s Zombie Walk, leaving behind only a trail of fake blood and a few wary onlookers.
From green facepaint to white contact lenses and gruesome latex creations, the unrecognisable participants will take to the streets to show off their best zombie shuffles.
Launceston Zombie Walk co-organiser Chris Dolbey said the event was a good excuse to get dressed up and have some fun.
‘‘Most people like zombies, especially in pop culture, so it’s just a reason for people to come out and do something different,’’ Mr Dolbey said.
‘‘There’s kids that are involved as well – some are scared, but some like it.
‘‘A lot of people have the special effects that they don’t get to use very often and this is a chance to do it.’’
The walk will begin at midday at the City Park rotunda.
