In trend terms, dwelling approvals for February dropped 0.7 per cent for Tasmania.
The national average saw figures rise 1.6 per cent, continuing a nine-month streak.
In Tasmania, there were 220 "dwelling units" approved in February, in trend terms, down from 222 in January and December.
However, the figures are up from 188 this time last year.
