Grade 5 pupil Blake Wilson’s Lego display will be the school’s Northern Primary School challenge entrant at the event, with the 11-year-old noting that the ‘‘bad guys’’ were armed with different weapons, including swords and guns.
Tasmanian Brick Enthusiasts president Ken Draeger, which organises Brixhibition, said 18 primary schools had taken part in the challenge this year, up from 13 last year.
‘‘It was an open theme and they had to just use their imagination,’’ Mr Draeger said.
‘‘We’ve had more than 400 kids from the 18 schools take part.
‘‘The kids have put a lot more thought and effort into this year, with a lot of kids pre-planning weeks and months out.’’
Invermay Primary School Lego co-ordinator Leanne Grimditch said the school had been impressed by the number of ‘‘creative and inspiring’’ designs.
Mr Draeger said this year’s Launceston Brixhibition, which will be held on April 11 and 12 at the Albert Hall, would feature more iconic Tasmanian landmarks (including Kings Bridge).
