The North East Equine Endurance Club is hosting 10 separate rides over the three days.
Rides include a 240 kilometre marathon, a 120km mini-marathon, three, 80km and three 40km rides -one each day - and a 20km social ride and 5km introductory ride on the Saturday.
President, Graham Bucknell said that the club last year hosted the first ever endurance marathon in Tasmania and received solid support from riders, sponsors, officials and the local community.
``The rides will be using many tracks and roads around the ride base of Santarena Park, just nine kilometres north of Scottsdale on the Bridport Road,'' he said.
Mr Bucknell is urging motorists to exercise caution:
- On Friday, April 3, when using Allen’s Road, Barnbougle Road, Glennons Road, Old Waterhouse Road, Burnside Road, Shanty Road and Jetson Road.
- On Saturday April 4, when using Allen’s Road, Barnbougle Road, Shanty Road, Jetson road, Maslin Road, Bridport Road, Duncraggen Road and Lauderdale Road.
- On Sunday April 5 when using Allens Road, Maslin Road, Bridport Road, Duncraggen Road, Lauderdale Road and Jetson Road.
Mr Bucknell said that club would be running the catering for the event and, judging by past rides, participants would, no doubt, be treated to some great food and service.
Spectators are most welcome to come along to Santarena Park over the Easter weekend and any enquires should be directed to Mr Bucknell on 0417 971 055.
