Tasmania's population swelled to 514,800 by June 2014, the Australian Bureau of Statistics has revealed.

Tassie recorded the lowest rate of growth for Australia in the regional population growth figures released on Tuesday.
The state also had the highest proportion of population living outside of its capital city in 57 per cent.
Hobart recorded the largest population growth of 1200 people, and Latrobe had the fastest growth.
In Northern Tasmania, Launceston and the North-East grew by 190 people.
Summerhill-Prospect welcomed the most new residents, with 80 people, while Ravenswood lost 60 people.
According to the ABS's data, Tasmania's population density was 7.6 people per square kilometre.
