With yellow, green and pink paint being thrown at them along the way, more than 1000 very colourful people took on the four-kilometre run or walk at Inveresk.
The Rotary Club of Central Launceston’s Duck Drop saw one lucky duck owner win a travel voucher as hundreds of plastic ducks were dropped from a helicopter.
Serena Davey, 17, travelled from Sheffield to take part in the event and said it felt great to get involved in the day.
‘‘It’s a bit hard to breathe at times, but it was really fun,’’ Serena said.
‘‘It was a really great day.’’
Lorretta Atkins, of Launceston, said the highlight of her day was getting out and having some fun with her two daughters, Renya, 10, and Neve, 12.
‘‘It was beautiful and to be out here with my daughters was just great,’’ Mrs Atkins said.
‘‘Everyone’s having fun and that’s the main thing.
‘‘My favourite part was getting splattered with paint,’’ Renya added.
Supporting the Australian charity Give Me 5 For Kids, Colour Me Active co-ordinator Rob Gillard said it felt good to have so many people coming out for a good cause.
‘‘People just have as much fun as they can,’’ Mr Gillard said.
