"Tony Joe White is a legend and a hero of mine and I'm very much looking forward to sharing the stage with him," Michael Pollitt, the man behind Mr Black & Blues, told X-static.
"I know quite a lot of the other people playing on the day and it will be great to see those guys and share the stage, but Tony Joe White is the real drawcard for me.
"It will be great to hear what he says about life and music.
"It is thrilling to be involved with this festival as it has such a great buzz to it."
The award-winning blues artist, whose blues festival show will draw to an end a state tour, said to "expect the unexpected" from his set on the weekend, with some new material on offer.
"I've been working on a new project called Heavy Medicine, and will debut some of those tracks at the festival, and expect things to be more in rock'n'roll mode."
Also part of the Forth Valley Blues Festival line-up will be Russell Morris, Frank Sultana and The Sinister Kids, King Cake, Billy Whitton, Three Kings, Sarah McLeod and Shaun Kirk.
Organisers are expecting a crowd that will push close to the 2500 capacity.
