The West Tamar Council, which meets today, will discuss renewing its financial support for Tamar NRM for the next three years.
The West Tamar and George Town councils have submitted funding to the organisation since 2004.
The West Tamar Council submitted about $47,000 in 2014-15.
Tamar NRM president Roger Tyshing has written to West Tamar Council general manager Ian Pearce saying the organisation would like to move into the Launceston City Council's former Parks and Recreation headquarters at Invermay.
The office space would have them at the foot of Heritage Forest and allow for a West Tamar satellite site, Mr Tyshing wrote.
Mr Pearce has recommended the council approve the funding for Tamar NRM, which would only increase according to CPI.
"Council has supported the Tamar Region NRM for the past 11 years and has received value for money in relation to on-ground works and therefore it is recommended that council continues its support for the Tamar Region NRM," he said.
The West Tamar Council will also discuss motions it could take to the Local Government Association meeting.
The George Town Council and West Tamar Council will discuss agreeing to explore its options regarding feasibility studies into voluntary amalgamations.
Local Government Minister Peter Gutwein wrote to councils in February with a request that they indicate their interest in being involved in the studies by late March.
The councils will assume their positions on holding a feasibility study into amalgamations, resource sharing or shared service models.
Both organisations have previously stated their opposition to amalgamations.
