East Coast cricketer and breast cancer awareness advocate Chris Turner hosted the event last month in an effort to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
A downpour initially forced Mr Turner to cancel the event on February 7, but Pink Stumps Day eventually went ahead on February 28 - the same day as the East Coast cricket competition final between St Marys and St Helens.
While Mr Turner's beloved St Marys side lost by 42 runs on the day, he said he was overwhelmed by the community's response to the event, which raised about $2000.
"Last year, Pink Stumps Day raised $3000 and this year we were hoping for about $1000," he said.
"I haven't counted it all yet, but I think we raised about $2000."
Mr Turner said his fingers were crossed for better weather next year, with another Pink Stumps Day expected to be held on the East Coast, as well as others held by different organisations across Tasmania.
"I think the day would have been massive if it wasn't rained out initially, because we put a lot of planning into it," he said. "But I'm still happy with the way it turned out.
"We actually still raise a little bit of money on the initial day because we ended up having a few beers and a barbecue with the people who turned up anyway.
"We'll definitely look at doing something next year."
