At least 20 members of the social club for older motorcycle enthusiasts will be in the Victorian town from March 23 to 29 looking to sign up people to attend in 2016.
That event will be held in the first week of March, and will have the Albert Hall and Aurora Stadium as its main venues.
It will involve major motorcycle manufacturers and suppliers putting on trade displays and test rides of the latest machinery, a parade through the city and several nights of entertainment.
It is expected to attract between 3500 and 4000 people, out of its 24,000 members nationwide.
There are about 500 members in Tasmania.
‘‘We’ll be promoting Launceston itself, all of its tourism aspects, its history, and we’ll be talking a lot about how good everything is here,’’ event director Mike Meymen said.
‘‘While there are set guidelines we follow, a lot of it is flexible, but we will be adding our own twist to it.’’
The Spirit of Tasmania and the Launceston Travel and Information Centre will also be at the Wodonga meeting.
