Police were called to the office and have taken possession of a letter and photographic material.
Police are currently investigating the matter.
Tasmania Police will liaise with the Australian Federal Police about the matter.
EARLIER: A DEATH threat has been sent to the office of Tasmanian independent senator Jacqui Lambie.
The threat says she is the enemy of the Islamic State and the writer has vowed to behead her.
The letter was also accompanied by images of a beheading.
``I will take the honour in beheading you,'' the letter reads.
``If you convert to Islam, and help with the development of Sharia Law in Australia, I will forgive you.''
The writer has given Ms Lambie until March 18 to propose Sharia Law to the senate and ``ensure Australia needs'' Sharia Law.
Ms Lambie has vowed not to be intimidated by the letter, however, which she said was written by a supporter of the Sydney siege perpetrator Man Haron Monis
``My office received this death threat letter last Friday,'' she said.
``It was accompanied by three glossy photographs, one of which showed a close up shot of a man’s head being cut off. Obviously someone is trying to intimidate and scare me. I will not be intimidated or scared.''
Ms Lambie said she will refer the letter to Tasmania Police and the Australian Federal Police.
She also said she will continue to advocate for a ban on Sharia Law.
