WET weather played havoc with sporting fixtures across the North and North-West yesterday forcing most first grade cricket games to be abandoned.

The Cricket North first grade game between Westbury and South Launceston was called off with South 1-78, after 31 overs, chasing the Shamrock's score of 209.
With the match abandoned both teams shared the points.
Riverside and Launceston were able to finish the second day of play in the Cricket North game with the Blues taking the points on the first innings.

North-West Bowls matches were also heavily affected by the rain with most fixtures unable to be played while in the North many of the Bowls North matches were able to be completed.
Launceston Touch Association grand finals were also completed despite the inclement weather.
