Updated figures show the government had shed the equivalent of 668 full-time positions by the end of January, and plans to cut a further 153 before the end of the financial year.
Voluntary redundancies have cost the government $10.4 million, while the departures through the workplace renewal program have cost $10.7 million.
The Department of Health and Human Services has shed 207 positions, while 118 jobs have gone from State Growth.
The figures show that the Department of Police and Emergency Management has lost the equivalent of 23 staff, despite officers recently accepting a pay freeze.
Treasurer Peter Gutwein said the DPEM cuts were to backhouse staff and not to frontline roles.
