While the Launceston band still has a strong post-hardcore element to it, bassist Alex McNulty said its sound had a much more mellow feel to it.
Guitarist and back-up vocalist Billy Bennett has joined McNulty, Luke Vaessen, Joel Hallam and Owen Broad in the band, and they will share their new single at the Burns Creek Festival this weekend.
"We're playing music that we really want to know, which is more smoother," McNulty said.
"It is different for us to be doing it [Party in the Paddock], because obviously it targets blues, roots and indie [music].
"But we think it will be beneficial to them and us, as we are branching out to a new demographic of fans and they are getting something new, and hopefully next year or the year after there will be double the amount of heavy bands there."
Save The Clock Tower will release their next album, a follow-up to last year's Wasteland, in the next six months.
They are also planning to tour Europe and the US later this year.
Save the Clock Tower will play at 1.45pm on Saturday on the main stage.
