Mrs Burr and daughter Ashlin had a bumper debut Festivale last year and accepted that this year was unlikely to return the sales figures they enjoyed during three days where the temperature hovered around 30 degrees.
``Not too many people head for an ice cream stall when its pouring with rain,'' Mrs Burr said.
``Still, this year would probably be a good average after the highs of 2014.''
Another Scottsdale business, microbrewer Little Rivers Brewery, was at Festivale for the first time, but co-owners Jessica Coniston and Chris Carins said that they enjoyed wide recognition from patrons who were familiar with the North-East label.
‘‘We wanted to increase our market exposure and talk to people about our beer to get our name out there,’’ Ms Coniston said.
She said that feedback helped them gauge the effectiveness of their marketing campaign.
