The church committee's annual Pancake Day fundraiser will see sweet and savoury treats served up for attendees this afternoon.
The annual event, now in its sixth year, will be held from 6.30pm.
Pancake Day co-ordinators Edna Viney and Elaine Scott said proceeds would go toward Uniting Care crisis work.
"A lot of their work is for homelessness and accommodation for people that have home problems," Mrs Viney said.
"We can nominate to have the funds stay in Tasmania . . . if it's raised here I think they ought to be used here."
Savoury pancakes will cost $6 each and sweet pancakes will be $5 each, both come with a choice of two fillings. Fillings include chicken and corn, mince, and bacon and corn for savoury and mixed berries or bananas for sweet pancakes.
Mrs Viney said the hall could seat more than 100 people, but expected a steady flow of foot traffic.
