The West Tamar Council will discuss a combined amendment and planning application to the West Tamar Interim Planning Scheme 2013 for the establishment of a stock feed and supply business and gift shop at Beaconsfield.
The amendment will see the council discuss allowing bulky goods sales and general retail and hire as discretionary uses on the Weld Street site.
The application noted that the business, At The Feed Shed, has grown to a point where it requires more space.
Municipal planner Michael Purves has recommended that the council approve both aspects of the agenda item.
The George Town Council will on Wednesday discuss granting $7500 annually to the Tamar Valley Folk Festival.
The notice of motion from Cr Heather Barwick notes the importance of the festival to the region.
Hundreds of people flock to George Town each year for the three-day event.
The council will also discuss upgrades to Windmill Point.
The state government will deliver $100,000 to the project in its 2016-17 budget for a toilet facility, barbecue and seating area and playground facility.
The council allocated more than $40,000 for the first phase of developments and will focus on interim works as it waits for the bulk of the funding.
