Mr Woods said he had confirmed the appearance of the players for an hour timeslot at the festival on February 28, from 11am until noon.
While it is still unknown which three players will appear at the event, Mr Woods said the appearance would be real treat for those in attendance.
"They will be signing autographs for kids and the adult kids there as well," he said.
"With the number of free activities planned and the Hawks visit, I think the kids will definitely be entertained."
Mr Woods said this year's spectacle would see the return of the popular coal shovelling, roof bolting and shearing events.
The coal shovelling has also caught the eye of New South Wales and Queensland competitors who will be looking to steal a result from local competitors.
"Preparation is going really well. The coal shovelling looks like it's going to be the highlight of the day this year."
