Longford Christ Church's second annual Art in Action and Exhibition Weekend will feature works from a range of renowned artists in aid of charity.
Works from Glover finalist Richard Klekocuik, Northern Tasmania's Graham Whittle, Liz Russell-Arnot, Michael McWilliams and more will be up for sale at the church.
Exhibition co-ordinator Karolina Smith said a special opening night for the event will be held at Longford on February 27.
"The opening night caused a bit of a buzz, there's a preview of the art, live music, canapes and wine," Mrs Smith said. '
'Last year we had close to 80 people . . . this year I'll do a few more to accommodate those turning up, we had to turn people away last year."
She said Whittle and Klekocuik would also be among those conducting art lessons from 1pm to 3pm on the opening weekend.
A lucky draw for artwork will be held during the event, with a chance to win a 30-centimetre by 30-centimetre piece from a celebrity contributor.
"It would be nice to see the event grow to make it a proper weekend for Longford," Mrs Smith said.
"I can see it eventually extending up into the church and all sorts of places when run out of space in the hall."
She said last year's event saw many artworks sold at reasonable prices. Entry is $5 a person, children enter for free.
Funds raised by the event will go to the Christian board of Missions and Medicins Sans Frontieres.
