LAUNCESTON'S Sugar Shack Bakery will be closed for the foreseeable future following the fire at the business on Sunday morning.

Police believe the fire was caused by a faulty electrical cable in the ceiling of the Morty's Complex business.
It caused about $250,000 damage.
''We don't know how long we will be closed for and it is going to take a long time for us to get back on our feet,'' co-owner David Hausknecht told The Examiner this morning
Fire crews were alerted to the fire at 6am and arrived shortly after the call, removing the building's iron roof to extinguish the flames.
