Launceston's Liam Guthrie and Luke Young admittedly started their outfit as an improvisational piece, formed in response to a "musicians wanted" advertisement for a concert.
Fast forward to 2015, and the band is celebrating 500 shows in five years.
"We had no intention of doing a second gig," Young said.
"Then we started playing at the Oak [Royal Oak Hotel]. It was 80 per cent improvised . . . Then people started coming along," Guthrie added.
"We always got booked for another gig after we'd finished playing," Young said.
The band will celebrate its milestone - which it admits is probably about 20 shows and six weeks overdue - this Saturday at The Royal Oak in Launceston.
Guthrie said he and Young had finally found themselves in a reasonably comfortable position, music-wise.
''We fund all this ourselves off the back of playing shows,'' he said.
''We don't have to fork any money out of our pocket any more.
''Don't get us wrong, we've played a lot of crap shows to no one, but we've also been fortunate enough to play with a lot of good bands and we've met a lot of good people and made friendships all over the country that will last forever.''
