The taster-day session will be aimed at providing new skills to attendees from 11am to 3pm on Sunday.
The club's Women on White Water event has already received inquiries from about 20 people, according to club committee member Emily Ingram.
Ingram said she hoped the event would see more women join the club's monthly kayaking trips and polo roster.
"We've had a great response so far, lots of women are keen to get involved who were maybe not sure how to get started," she said.
"It's good for fitness and it's a good social environment for meeting lots of other people in a different setting.
"I haven't run anything like this before, it's a first for the club, we're hoping to run more in the future."
Ingram said free gear was available for those without their own and that a barbecue would be held afterwards.
The day will be split into three sections; people will get started on flat water from 11am to noon, and noon to 1pm will be focused on learning new paddle strokes, and 1pm to 2pm will be moving water skills.
