Led by opener Jacob Snare, who carried his bat through the innings for an unbeaten 81, Ulverstone had the measure of South Launceston.
Snare hit six boundaries in his two-hour stay at the crease and was later awarded the man of the match.
South Launceston captain Chris Hay, deputising for Nathan Philip, won the toss and elected to bat at Ulverstone’s River Park.
The Knights made 9-209 off their 50 overs with opener Mack Baker and Charlie Eastoe adding 76 runs in a fourth wicket partnership.
Following some rain during Ulverstone’s innings it was set a revised total of 201 off 46 overs under the Duckworth Lewis scoring system.
Ulverstone seemed to be cruising to victory until two quick wickets saw South Launceston fight back with Ulverstone sitting at 4-128 and still requiring a run a ball.
State under 19 representative Corey Murfet then came to the wicket and steadied the cause for Ulverstone hitting 26 runs from just 23 balls.
Murfet had earlier taken 2-38 with his pace bowling to help set up Ulverstone’s win.
The win gave Ulverstone its second cup title with the first coming in 2009-10. The team has been a regular one-day finalist being beaten by Wynyard last year.
Ulverstone has also been the dominant team in North-West cricket winning the last four premierships.
