Motor sport enthusiasts lined the Northern Midlands track to watch drifting, powerskids and burnout competitions.
Powercruise manager Nicki Derrick said the weekend event attracted about 300 entrants and 2000 spectators from Friday to Sunday.
‘‘This is our first Tasmanian event for 2015,’’ Ms Derrick said.
‘‘We run events all around Australia, we have two in New Zealand and also run one annually in the United States — we run at least 10 events a year.’’
She said the event was a good chance for people to rev their machines in a safe environment.
‘‘People can take their friends and family with them, without having to look over their shoulder for the police,’’ Ms Derrick said.
‘‘It’s family-friendly and an alcohol-free event, everybody can come and enjoy the event together.’’
She said foot races for children were also held on the track between events, a fun chance for them to win some extra pocket money.
