Pubs and Panels at the Royal Oak will not only have some great music on offer, but will be to helping the Australian Youth Climate Coalition to help a local business install solar panels on its roof.
Helping make this happen will be Ursine, fresh off an appearance at the Marion Bay Falls Festival, The Saxons, Turbulence, Bad Beef and Sumner.
"As well as campaigning and lobbying politicians, what is really important (for the AYCC) is engaging the community and bringing the community together," said Jack McLaine, one of the organisers and one half of Sumner.
"The aim is to do that with this fun show by getting some great bands together.
"By raising funds to get these solar panels on a local business, we are looking at encouraging that change to renewable energy over things like coal and gas."
McLaine said it would be a great gig.
"We've got some of the hottest bands going around here and the aim is to make sure everyone can have a fun night, raise the awareness and put a positive spin on the topic of climate change, which is something that can be a bit of a negative thing to talk about."
Entry to the gig will cost $10 with all money going straight to the fund-raising cause.
Any business wishing to taking advantage of the solar panel opportunity can contact fellow organiser Katherine Whitmore on 0437 521 858 or katherine.whitmore@aycc.org.au.
