The Australian Youth Climate Coalition will hold fund-raiser Pubs and Panels at the Royal Oak in Launceston next week.
The event will feature bands Ursine, Bad Beef, Turbulence, Sumner and The Saxons.
The group's Katherine Whitmore said the coalition hoped to raise up to $2000 for solar panel subsidies.
"The band night aims to engage people in action on climate change but also fund-raise for a subsidy for local businesses to put solar panels on their roof-top," Ms Whitmore said.
"It's really worthwhile for the business - they will have cheaper energy in the long run, discounts from us and probably a discount from the supplier as well.
"We want to get as many people engaged as we can."
