Sunshine started the final week of 2014 yesterday with people taking the opportunity to enjoy fun in the sun.
Yesterday, East Launceston's Fionn and Mani Creswell joined neighbour Baylin Pease on a backyard waterslide, seizing the opportunity to escape the heat and cool off.

New Year's Eve will reach a top of 23 degrees, but a low of 7 degrees is expected overnight.
The warmth will resume on New Year's Day - the temperature rising again to 24 degrees, despite some cloud cover leading into the weekend.
