Recently appointed regional co-ordinator Katrina Lokan said the parents’ support group was trying to re-establish itself in the north after a 12-month break.

Ms Lokan said she was happy with the turnout and looked forward to helping the group get up and running again.

Activities offered through CHAT include pram walking, play groups, information sessions and resource sharing in different suburbs throughout Launceston.

The event attracted about 15 children and their parents and a further 10 saw the festivities and joined in at City Park.

Groups will run from about mid-January.
