The cohort have come from all walks of life, with ex-marines standing shoulder to shoulder with baristas, business executives and university students to join the state's ladies and gents in blue.
Twenty-four year old Zak Burnett will be among five new constables stationed at Launceston.
Constable Burnett said the seven-month recruit course was mentally and physically demanding.
The former defence force officer said the gruelling physical activities were among his highlights of the seven-month stint.
Constable Burnett, a Hobart lad, said he's looking forward to meeting new people and getting involved in new sporting teams up North.
His first priority will be getting his head around uniform policing, with his sights firmly set on joining the Special Operations Group down the track.
This morning's ceremony saw Premier Will Hodgman and Police Commissioner Darren Hine inspect the new recruits, while bagpipes roared and proud families cheered.
Mr Hine said the enthusiasm of his newest staff was absolutely infectious.
''They're excited, they're keen and I just can't wait to be able to see them on the street and see how they're going during their policing career,'' he said.
The new recruits will take up their new positions on Monday.
