Nathan Scott Davidson, 38, faced the Launceston Magistrates Court today via video-link.
Police officers from Northern Drug Investigation Services arrested Mr Davidson on December 2 and he was later refused bail.
Today, defence solicitor Fran McCracken entered a number of pleas to her client's matters on his behalf.
Among other allegations, Mrs McCracken said Mr Davidson pleaded not guilty to two counts of having trafficked in a controlled substance (major offence), having attempted to unlawfully import a controlled substance, and four counts of possession of stolen property.
Mrs McCracken said her client would apply for bail in the Launceston Supreme Court on Monday.
Magistrate Reg Marron ordered Mr Davidson to reappear on his indictable charges in the Supreme Court on March 10 at 10am.
He adjourned summary charges, including attempted escape, resist and assault police, and four firearms possession charges, to the Magistrates Court on January 13 at 9.15am.
