It is the artistic diary of Launceston's Heather Bradbury.
Bradbury's detailed creations hold more than just expression — they are windows into her history.
The 2013 Glover and Fleurieu prize finalist has been gaining attention for her works, a nod to the dedication for her passion.
"Whatever painting I'm doing relates to that period of my life," Bradbury said.
"That particular painting (featured above) is Flood, it was from a time in my life where my mum had cancer.
"It was a traumatic time, but also at the same time there was peace, it was her time.
"For me that was a really helpful way of coping with it."
She said the paintings stretched out events and activities from the past three years, including one signifying her move back to mainland Australia.
"That painting is of rocks, where Devonport is," Bradbury said.
"They come out where the big boat — The Spirit — is. It's about heading off into the future, that's the personal side."
She said one of her many goals as an artist was to help people expand their own creativity.
"I love running workshops on painting and creativity. I'll be doing a lot more of that from this point on.
"I get excited by other people; the stories of them getting to grade 5 in school and not painting and years later wishing they started again."
